I don't know how any organization let alone a hospital can NOT recognize their Security Officers as support staff!!! This is a joke right? When you're in need of help who do you call, security! When you have to restraint a patient who do you call, security! Who stays with 'support staff' when they have a problem, security! Who is with a disruptive/out of control patient, that's right security!! Security Officers are the ones that keep the patient, visitors, property, and most importantly 'support staff' safe!! Recognize these men and woman in security for the job that they have been doing tirelessly through the entire COVID Pandemic!!!

Security is a part of the front line in the hospital setting and the ED department. They should be treated fairly they also they should be getting the same support and compensated for the time and the risk that they put their selves in.

The Security Guards were and are in just as at risk as THE MDs...RNs..RRTs...when we need them -they are front and center...restraining someone- directly in their face!!! Being coughed on spit on...and definitely run the same risk as we do...i was shocked to hear these people were under appreciated in such a way as to be skipped over...even Grocery store employees got hazard pay... I am sooo disappointed that our Security Team is not valued the same as a Grocery Store clerk....wow!

Hey if you worked you should get paid for putting yourself in harms way. Those that don’t think security don’t deserve hazard pay is because they were not there to see the madness we all went through during those times

my uncle works security and deserves recognition. hospital security keeps us all safe and makes sure the new policies are being followed. they are working on the frontlines same as nurses and doctors!

Security is the backbone of Carney especially on the night shift, who else would nurses call in an emergency and know that the response would be immediate
