This makes no sense as 87th Ave only extends another 22 blocks north of this bridge before traffic must either continue through north Palmetto Bay and then into Pinecrest or spill onto US1 anyway...this will NOT alleviate northbound traffic in this area...will be pointless!

The safety and well being of the residents it seems needs to be considered of high priority. The village residents have already suffered through so much action taken that negatively impacts our daily life and commute. It is time to re-evaluate our priorities and consider the well being of the residents. Thus I vote no to the building of the bridge.

Against any bridging in Palmetto Bay. This will spoil quality of life and not achieve any meaningful traffic mitigation. Development south of Palmetto Bay will be fueled even more by this.

I strongly oppose the bridge. Empty promises of traffic improvements coupled with a very expense bill to be paid by the tax payers makes this a terrible project. The efforts need to be focused on US-1 improvements and the end of fast rate construction of high density building south of 168th street. The same folks that want to build this bridge and eliminate the safety from our neighborhoods north of 168th are the same ones approving site plans for these high density buildings thereby increasing traffic exponentially in a area which has remained mostly unchanged in the past 50 yrs. there’s nothing but a big deadline traveling north along 87th avenue after this bridge and all this will do is encourage people that are already late to work to speed along the many minor roads to avoid to long build up of cars that there will be on 87th avenue.

I live only two blocks west of 87 Ave and cannot get out of our neighborhood going east during morning and afternoon rush hours ... even in a pandemic! Control uncontrolled development in South Dade!

We have elected local government representatives to avoid building these bridges. We supported former commissioner for our district, now mayor, based on her take that bridges will not resolve traffic reduction but bring even more traffic and other problems through our neighborhood. The new commissioner does not represent the voice of people in any way! She was appointed and not elected! This is ridiculous!!! I live on 87th and traffic is it is bad as is. The development in Palmetto Bay and south of it needs to stop as it is not sustainable. There is no development without proper infrastructure and what we have was beyond minimum a long time ago. Bridge(s) would not solve anything but destroy our neighborhood. When are the representatives going to start supporting people and not interests of developers! This needs to stop. Bridges should not be built!

Unsafe. There is already speeding on my street with a stop sign that many just fly by... add bridges nearby... bad idea

Yet again I oppose this bridge that will destroy this neighborhood and raises many safety concerns. There is no benefit worth the loss from this bridge.

There is no traffic light at 87th Ave. and 144 St. accidents happen here all the time and it will only get worse. In addition, 87th Ave dead ends at SW 141 St. so it will force drivers back onto US 1 or 82 Ave. so it serves no purpose.

We oppose the bridge on 87th Ave. This bridge will not alleviate traffic, but only move the traffic slightly further north while negatively impacting our neighborhoods.

As life long residents of Palmetto Bay,we strongly oppose the bridging of 87th ave..
We also strongly opposed the appointment of the District 8 Commissioner. The residents of Palmetto Bay should have been allowed to hold a special election for the District 8 commissioner!
So this is what we get, the bridging of 87 ave.. Put on the agenda at the last minute and did not even notify Mayor Cunningham in time. This whole thing stinks!
