PALMETTO BAY RESIDENTS & MORE LOCALS OPPOSE THE 87th AVE. BRIDGE & APPEAL TO COMMISSIONER DANIELLE COHEN HIGGINS AND THE ENTIRE TPO TO REJECT IT

There is too much traffic as it is. Agreed - this bridge will only make it worse for our residential community.

A bridge on 87th Ave. will ruin a great neighborhood.

The bridges could bring noise and change safety of the residence.

I am strongly opposed to bridging.

I am opposed to the proposed construction of any canal crossing new bridges in the Village of Palmetto Bay.

Please do not allow bridges in Palmetto Bay . The increase in traffic will heavily disrupt our neighborhood.

I am so pleased to see so many opposed to this crazy Bridging over the canal of 87 ave. Why do they insist on taking away the peacefulness and safety of our neighborhoods with this terrible bridge. Its these wonderful neighborhoods that still remain today that must preserve! Their are so many other ways to deal with traffic, other than this crazy bridge, that they keep trying to push on us. No to Bridging the 87 ave canal and no to any future plans to bridging the 77 ave canal.

This would completely change the neighborhood and possible safety of the residence. This would bring high traffic,noise,and lower home values in a quiet and safe area with elderly and young children.

I OPPOSE THE PROPOSED BRIDGE, this will further contest and endanger our beautiful community

I oppose the bridges. I believe there are other ways to solve the traffic situation. We owe it to our village to find better solutions.

I continue to have strong opposition to this never ending endeavor to bridge 87th Ave. The community has spoken on the harm that doing so will bring to our community, yet efforts continue to be made to create a passageway that will only be able to allow drivers to continue for a short distance, creating bottlenecks all the way down 87th Ave. I urge that this idea be abandoned and that we look forward to real improvements that do not impact our family community.

If allowed, the bridge would channel extra traffic through Palmetto Bay neighborhood streets. I’ve attended past meetings at Village Hall and Government Center trying to represent our residents keen to retain our right to walk and bike in peace. We need to briskly defend our Village against the latest attack on its tranquility.

This bridge does not make sence once you get to 141 St, then what, people will cut through all the adjecent streets creating a ightmare for the residents of the area.

We strongly oppose the bridge, which will ruin our quiet neighborhood, pollute the canal, and do nothing to reduce traffic.

This will only continue bottle neck to 141 and the next canal.

I strenuously oppose using our Residencial neighborhood streets to elevate county traffic issues. The county should look at an extension to the Metromover, elevated and increasing US1 lanes. Is the busway really effective and efficient?

We were not informed of this in a timely manner. This was “approved” in a less than truthful transparent way. We pay taxes here and want our voice to be heard
