This has been brought to the table too many times! The arguments AGAINST remain strong, if not stronger, than before!! I will be very disappointed in 'what is supposed to be a local government', voted for by the local people, allow this to happen. Is this a game of "Red Rover"?

In am oppose to the SW 87 bridge. This is only a temporary solution that will affect the life of the residents around the area immediately and all Palmetto Bay residents forever. Adding alternative roads is an invitation to our southern neighborhoods to use the Village of Palmetto Bay streets instead of US-1 or other mayor roads. It will only take a few months to make the situation worse by having more people driving around Palmetto Bay and affecting everybody's quality of life. The Village of Palmetto Bay is a family-oriented community where people enjoy the outside living: families ride their bikes and walk around the neighborhood. Adding more traffic to the Village is not the solution to the unplanned and uncontrollable development in the south.

A completely fraudulent play, backed by inaccuracies and flawed data to spend $3.1 million for a bridge to nowhere. Vote NO.

Bridging Palmetto Bay will disrupt the quality of life in our village. This not the solution to remedy the traffic problems that currently exist for the communities that are to the south of the village.

I oppose the bridging on all streets in Palmetto Bay. This is not a solution to the traffic problems.

Building the bridge would have a HUGE impact on the residents on 87th Avenue which doesn’t make sense as drivers can only continue until SW 141 Street. The traffic still needs to go to US1 or 82nd Avenue to continue north. So what’s the point?

Palmetto Bay encompasses a large area. As a Village, we need to consider “other resident’s “ that live close to any proposed object being built. Those who dont live near the bridge, would vote for it. Those that live near it will be opposed. But we all bought in this area (the Village) for the tranquility, safety and quite peace of mind that our neighborhoods reflect at the moment. I will most likely be against any new structure in “your neighborhood” unless it is not disruptive to direct area residents. Therefore I am voting against the 87th Ave bridge, just as I did a few yrs ago. I want my block to be quiet, without numerous cars riding on my street, to veer west. I hope you will consider “my neighborhood” and oppose the bridge.

I don't agree to build bridges in our community. The traffic its been increasing and they are speeding because schools and other services in the area as landscaping and now the Uber delivery services... We need to protect our kids playing and the walking that its essential in this days with the Pandemia.

It is so sad to hear this is coming up again as we were part of the community gathering last time to oppose the bridge by the canal. We we first moved here we loved the fact that it did not connect which maintained a level of intimacy with this part of the neighborhood. I will not look forward to people cutting through and eventually I am sure there will be speed bumps added to protect pedestrians Once more I oppose the building of this bridge!

Bridge will only make traffic worse. Traffic will logjam at 152 and 141 Street, thus making people use streets east and west of 87 ave to avoid traffic. Most of these side streets have no side walk making it impossible for residents to walk, jog , or ride their bikes if bridge is built.

Oppose the construction of this bridge! The reason we moved to Palmetto Bay North was because it was a safe area for our children to play outside. This bridge will do just the opposite!

This would have a direct effect on the quality of life and safety along 87th Ave and surrounding areas. Additionally, this proposed bridge would do nothing to significantly improve traffic. This road comes up to a light on 152 street and a four way stop on 144th which would gridlock 87th Ave as well as 152 street and 144th street, note that 87th Ave ends at 141 street , at which point you would turn left to connect to US1 or turn right to add a significant amount of traffic through various routes within Palmetto Bay.
