I am 100% opposed. This bridge means traffic inside quiet neighborhoods. Disturbing our lifestyle, of walking, riding bicycle, walking our kids etc. Unnecessary and a waste of money.

Preserve neighborhoods , county must find solutions that do not affect the quality not life of residents and that maintain safety as a top priority. Residents already voted and some took an opportunity to bypass the residents election.

I so appreciate the traffic issues faced by my neighbors south of 168th. I am confident that the traffic studies that have been done showing some relief with this bridge are accurate.
Nonetheless, the cost, both financial and more critically to our neighborhood and lifestyle, is too great for the small relief it will provide, and I cannot support it.
I don’t live immediately in the community affected by the bridge, but I also don’t see the logic in creating a massive negative impact on a large swath of families and homes to provide minimal relief to commuters. When this proposal comes as part of a complete, comprehensive plan that includes shared burden and substantial and demonstrable relief (including, eg, public transit, widening Old Cutler, financial support to law enforcement to enforce keeping commuters on main roads and not cutting through residential neighborhoods, working with communities and schools north of us to clear bottlenecks that stretch all the way from Brickell to Cutler Bay, extending I95 further south, whatever....), I will be happy to support sharing the burden as equally as possible.
As a single measure that everyone acknowledges will have only a small net positive impact but has visible and known significant negative impact (and high financial cost in a time when people are suffering in so many other ways), I can’t support it. Sometimes something is better than nothing, but in this case, I think our county government has a responsibility to do better than that. Please find a better way.

I object to the building of the bridge on 87th Ave. We do not need more traffic through our neighborhoods. The bridge would cause safety concerns for the residents.

Opposed!
We purchased our home specifically because of the neighborhood, low traffic, and quiet for our children. If this bridge is built, property values will go down. If this bridge was built, we are planning to move out of Palmetto Bay.

87th ave is not prepared for high traffic.
- The section of 87th Ave going north towards 152nd Street is not in the best shape.
- The traffic signs such as stop signs are currently not respected. A police officer is constantly stopping current drivers.
- 87th Ave is extremely dark at night. High traffic levels will bring insecurity and vandalism.
- Home owners of Palmetto Bay, bought their houses based on the quality of life and safety, more traffic brings the total opposite.
- the purpose of new projects is to bring value to the areas where they are developed, not to decrease the value and unnecessary problems
