I am opposed to this bridge because it will not solve anything. I strongly feel US1 has improved with the syncronizing of lights and 77th Ave works well. 87th ave doesn't go through and all the traffic would have to flow to US1 or 82 Ave. This is a waste of money.

To reduce mere single digit minutes from my occasional (and ridiculously long and frustrating) commute north on 87th Ave—NO, I DO NOT favor destroying that beautiful jewel of a neighborhood. A yes would be an incredibly short sighted and selfish act on my part.

We don’t need the bridge. It will not help solve the traffic issue.

I am against building the 87th Avenue bridge. This will not solve the horrific traffic problem caused by overdevelopment.

Good afternoon,
Will there be connecting (Bridging) the grid in all districts? And if so when.
I am opposed to the Bridging of my Township (Palmetto Bay), due to the loss of Community Character forever with very little gain, except financially for some and egotistical for most.
But if we must then I believe it is justified that all communities shall also.
Regards,
In GOD'S Love and Your Service.

No bridges! This bridge would make 87th Ave a mini-US1 plus you add Waze to it and local streets will be crowded with people using short cuts. Use the busway...it's a wasted space thaat another 4 to 5 lines can be added to US1.

We strongly oppose building a bridge at 87th Avenue and SW 164th Street at the C100 canal. Our residents would not be safe on our residential streets. Our side street does not have a sidewalk and we have to walk in the road. Senior citizens with their family member or caretaker, young families with their children walking, strollers, or riding tot toys, teens and other family members riding their bicycles, playing in the yards - will not be safe with increased traffic in our neighborhood. A bridge here will not do enough to help the traffic problems, but will ruin a nice residential neighborhood.

Recommend a cessation to building high density properties in South Miami-Dade where there are few employment opportunities. The increase in traffic heading north has exploded. The 87th avenue bridge will do nothing but extend the traffic a few blocks north.

Our highly paid county engineers should be able to redesign the mostly inefficient busway to accommodate both bus and auto traffic . And the greedy commissioners could even turn it into a tool road to help build their re-election coffers.

An unelected commissioner has no right to impose upon the residence of Palmetto Bay a bridge that will destroy not only the value of property for those who live close by, but also their peace, tranquility and safety.

Not a good idea at all! People will be dumped on 1 52nd St. and or 1 44th St. will still have to drive east to 82nd Ave. or 77th Ave. or west to US one both streets are already congested People use sidestreets to try to get around it only causing more headache.
