This small town doesn’t have much that we have as traditional but the parade is one we all look forward to the little flower girls the school band an the town pulling together.

we’ve had this parade every year, every since I can remember, I am a Junior in highschool and the parade was something i always looked forward to, and now i can’t even enjoy it my last two years of high school.

I truly believe with all my heart this tradition needs to be kept in this little town, the 3 big things a year that we have always looked forward to is the fair, parade, and fireworks/street dance. Why take out things that this little town is know for?

I dont understand why they would decide to get rid of the parade its one of the few community activities that EVERYONE can get involved in and be apart of.

This has been a tradition since I was young. Who made this decision? This is one of the few traditions that brings the entire community together. It is fun for the young and old. I no longer live in Booneville but when my grandkids are old enough to participate and it is stiill a tradition I will drive the four hours to see them. What other tradition does this small community have that brings all the generations together and gives them pride in the community? Maybe even make a theme that involves the history of Booneville. This would be so sad for this tradition to end.

I couldn't imagine Owsley Co without it's annual parade! I always loved participating and watching the parade!

My child came home from school today and said mom we’re not having a fair parade. I said what my honey??? She said they hate me!!! I said what she said they hate me I have been waiting on this since I was as a freshman, so I could ride on the senior float. They just hate me!!! So I ask whom ever decided to cancel the parade.... THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR CRUSHING MY CHILDS DREAM.. good job

I think the kids ought to get to have a parade. The Christmas parade is to cold for little kids to be in. Besides the fact that it has been tradition for many years.
