It is vital that Dunfermline's college remains in Dunfermline and is not relocated elsewhere in Fife. We have suffered too much from Fife Council sucking the heart out of this town by focusing its resources in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes despite the huge expansion in Dunfermline's population over the past decade. Relocating the college to the centre of the town makes sense. It would help regenerate the centre and would also use vacant brownfield land. For once, let's make the right decision.

This is a great opportunity for Fife College, its students and staff, and with a town centre site being chosen this puts a £91m Scottish Government investment in further education at the very heart of Dunfermline town centre.
