I agree this should not be tolerated with cause like people need phones for many purposes.

Someone put my name on this without my permission but I digress. I struggle frequently with my schoolwork and I rely on being able to go on skyward to see what I can make up and retake. This ban has made me miss retakes and miss information on upcoming tests. Also I rely on it to check missing assignments that I can retake, I have missed assignments since. Also I constantly worry about family issues, even if a pet is at the vet I need to be constantly posted. I am not saying that my phone would go off in class, it would be shut off and I would only check it in lunch or during other times I wouldn't be in classes. Another issue I have is a selfless one. I'm sure many of you have noticed the large amount of students doing their homework on phones. And even though I don't I feel for these hardworking students being told to automatically switch to another format. Plus I am a usually a forgetful person so taking pictures of homework helps me remember the homework. I should also say I won't bring the "it's my 1st amendment right!" deal into this. I've been in civics class I know the school does have the right to randomly search lockers and if they see fit to take phones. I know phones are a "privilege". But I will agree with the majority on one opinion which is that only the people who abuse their privilege should be punished. I would like to end this statement by saying that in no way I would want to offend any school faculty for their decision but that I hope I can help a cause I see worthy. Thank you for your consideration.

I just love her 44 more days left of school and they just decided to ban phones now blame the person who did it not the entire 8th grade and 7th grade honestly WTF they honestly need to learn how to react calmly to a situation like this and according to the student handbook as long as you don't use your phone during an instructional time and not disturbing school anybody you should be able to use them at lunch at least or at least during 9th period. When we have our textbooks, homework, Study on Quizlet and stuff or when we have practice see if practice is cancelled or see if there's a family issue way plus what are supposed to do call the school and say hey somebody just died or somebody's in the hospital can you please call me. So I'm asking nicely please give us our phones back.

I am fine with having no phones in class. I'm not fine that we can't have them at lunch all because of some immature people trying to get attention. It also says in the Constitution that all citizens have the freedom of petition. So we should be able to protest without getting suspended. Please sign this petition to show how us as students have the right to use our phones THE RIGHT WAY and not in an inappropriate way.

I hope that Crestwood students receive their phone privileges back - or at least they create a policy that makes sense. In this day of age, I think it is beneficial for students to have their phones on them in case of an emergency they should be able to get ahold of anyone - friends, family, police. This is a safety hazard and I believe not only does this need to be brought to the attention of local residents, but to the superintendent as well. Should students be allowed to use their phones in class? No. I don't care if there educational apps and a calculator on your phone, when I went to school we had to buy actual separate calculators and keep our phones off or on silent and tucked away in our bags or pocket. I urge others to sign this petition, but to also take it a step further and write and call your local politicians to get them involved. Individuals have voices.

If we go on our phones in class it's our education we are willing to give up to text or go on our phones. We are on in the hallways or a lunch it's not disturbing anyone's educational process. Therefore there's no point to take away phones

we should at least be able to have our phones on us in case of emergency! Just because one or two people are using their phones inappropriately, doesn't mean it should effect all of us.

We need phones for emergency purposes. We need them to keep us updated on any family, social, or family events happening around us. I've always heard that phones are our generation. People always telling us to look up things on our phones because they are reliable, this should've never happened and we need to save it and bring phones back. We are a school as one if one falls we all fall we don't pick on them or blame it on them we are one and one as a whole. We need phones so bring them back. Its our time to make things right. BRING THE PHONES BACK!!

Okay. We rely on our phones to get in contact with our parents! What if there was a family emergency? And our parents are trying to text us and keep us updated.
