I love St. A's. It feels like home after leaving another local parish years ago. This is where my own children have been welcomed by the parish and youth ministry. This does seem to be an example of absolute power corrupts absolutely. This situation needs to be rectified immediately and though not expected, a heartfelt apology needs to be delivered to this family. We do care for one another and will remain strong in this belief.

I have struggled with feeling like a part of our Parrish for the part few years. I keep trying to return but I am just not feeling the "love and inspiration" that I have felt from the beginning. If we lose our youth group leader I am afraid we will lose what is left of a loving family in our faith.

What a terrible thing to happen to our parish. I want to see us unified again. I miss the Monsignor.

I sincerely hope that there is nothing wrong, but I do believe we should make sure there are proper checks and balances in place. Also I have known the Savage family for many years and wish to show my support.

In just 3 years I have watched as our St. A's family under the direction of Father Donahue is slowly being destroyed by his lack of caring and mistreatments of core members of our parish. His lack of involvment and support for our Youth Group programs is unacceptable! It's time we stand together and take back "Our Church" Please sign this petition and speak out in the comments. This has gone on far too long

I should say I was informed by the Bishop that Bill Donahue is one of the most respected priests in the diocese.
Also, they are not understanding, as this is the first time there has been complaints to the diocese about him. So much for trying to deal with it as a community...

A Parish is only strong when its parishioners and pastor see eye to eye. I see a lack of support in major areas such as the youth, they are the future it only seems fit to support youth ministries and all of those teachings. It seems every decision made has been to shut out the community or for the pastor's benefit, it's been going on for too long. None of this is far for a visiting priest to have to deal with either.

youthgroup at Saint Apollinaris changed my outlook in my adolescence and pushed me to pursued my faith and now I am a much better man because of it. Thank you to Megan and Jacob for all the time and effort they put in with me. it would be a shame to see our youth ministry diminish.

My family has been a part of the St.A's community since 1990. My displeasure with Fr. Donahue has been so great the I have stopped attending mass when he is presiding. Fr. Donahue's behavior during Msgr. Alzugaray's illness was very uncharitable and poor. The firing of Jo Savage has prompted me to speak up and hopefully someone will look at the state of our parish.

Wonderful lady with upstanding morals and beliefs and a huge support to the church. Do not dismiss something so pure and kind.
