I've been a member of St A's since moving to Napa 17 years ago. I have always been happy with the staff and Pastors (Fr. Cleary--wonderful, Fr. Alzugaray--amazing); that is up until the arrival of Fr. Donahue. This latest incident is the one that made me finally step up and voice my discontent. The Savage family has been a pillar in the St A's community for many years and no one deserves to be treated the way they're being treated. I fully support all that they have done for the Parish and expect Bishop Vasa to look closely into this matter to ensure that the needs and desires of the Parishioners are being met. Losing any of the Savages is like losing a large piece of the heart and soul of our parish community.

My family and I were appalled to hear about Jo Savage's dissmisal from St. A's. She is such an integral part of making our parish wonderful, and she does not deserve to be treated this way. I support the Savage family during this time, and pray for better leadership to prevail.

In my opinion Fr. Donahue is in the wrong line of work. He does not care for people and is going to ruin our church community. The fact he has already been move from other communities in the past for this same reason is proof of his bad decision making.. He should quit his job and get more involved with something he is actually good at.

While I love college, I am sad to be away from the St A's family whom I love with all my heart. Recently I have been hearing about mistreatments and am signing to show my support to my family.

While we are all appalled at this act of pure meliciousness by the current leadership @ St. A's we need to stand together as one.
Let the diocese know your feelings.
I was told they were surprised as this is the 1st they have heard of problems. I guess trying to cope as a community and not calling before was not in our best interest.
Make sure this gets around so we can show the Bishop the guy he calls "one of the most respected" has another side when running a Parish.

I am a member of St. Appollinaris Parish for over 36 years and am a Eucharistic Minister and I am appailed at the dismissal of Jo Savage after over 30 years of service to St. Apollinaris Parish
The. Savage/Mohr family have been core supports of the Parrish in fund raising. Activity development,. New program development and engagement of the Parish community! This action so slaps at the core members of the Parish the Diocese really needs to look at the overall goal for this Parrish! You are looking at losing a large participartory membership leaving St. A's for dismissal of a member of the very dedicated family of St. A's.

While I am a proud alum and now parent of St. A's, the recent events with the dismissal of Jo Savage is an absolute outrage. I have known the Savage family for most of my life (42 years). I would have to look long and hard to find a more selfless human being. This matter will not go quietly and needs to be addressed.

Our church is about its members. I am proud to be part of St. A's and hope and pray for leadership that supports all of its members and values them as individuals. We are lacking in this leadership right now and this needs to be addressed.

As an alumni of St. A'a I can say nothing but good thigs about the hard work and dedication that the entire Savage family has given to this church. When my father suddenly died Jo and her entire family rallied around us and made sure that every detail was in place for his service. I will never forget the generosity that she provided.
