2020 Will be known worldwide as the time so many people were left in uncertainty and in fear of their very lives and the lives of their loved ones.

We have been very fortunate to be led from a government who has been compassionate and very clear on what we need to do to keep each other safe and well.

While they do their part and most of the country stay in to stop the spread, the Front Line Retail Staff who are needed to keep us fed and are still risking "literally" their lives on a daily basis to bring you the necessary services to feed our families who are behind the safety of their closed doors.

So what is this partition asking of our government? When we have all survived this pandemic and we can all safely return to work, these retail staff members who have been suffering the mental fatigue of what if ? Is this person (s) the carrier of such a virus that could cause serious illness to me or my family?

The government have been fantastic in supporting its people who have been temporarily been put out of work, it has committed to helping all the business on the island to help our economy recover when this pandemic is over. But what of those that played a key role in the survival of the country such as Nurses, Doctors, Retail Staff, Cleaners, Delivery Drivers? They have been out in front of all this and we would like to see a one week gratitude payment same as the Covid-19 payment scheme to take a week off and wind down from the unbelievable sacrifice they made.

We are also looking for our retail owners to partnership with the government to show appreciation for the work that they have done and with the substantial increase in sales each company has so deservedly made by putting in place a clean environment for its customers, we ask that they would facilitate this time off and topped with a bonus as without them and the support they gave, each shop would be closed incurring detrimental effects on both the community and business.

If you agree then we hope you will sign and spread the message.
