Gardens and the parks are vital to the community. Communing with nature helps us to connect with ourselves. Loosing any of NYC's parks and gardens will be a loss for everyone.

instead of making more room for wealthy people, how about keeping fresh air, open spaces, and make housing affordalbe for the people who LIVE in these areas first... at least try that first before demolishing the culture of this city! i'm in the LES and all of the places and spaces that were the cultural hubs defining this neighborhood of what made the east village/LES attractive in the first place remains. sad and gross.

SoHo has become an overdeveloped, overcrowded nightmare with NO green space. It caters to tourists and NYU. DONT TAKE AWAY the small amounts of park we have.

THIS IS AS IMPORTANT AS ANYTHING BECAUSE IT WILL NOT ONLY SAVE OUR PARKS BUT SAVE THE CITY FROM THE IDEA THAT DEVELOPERS ALWAYS WIN.

The oases of green on LaGuardia and Mercer have been blessings, particularly in the summer ... in this highly congested area of Manhattan. The LaGuardia Park Gardeners are to be treasured and praised for the beauty they bring to the area.

As a programmer for an LES community garden and arts space, I hope Judge Mills' decision gets upheld and the green oases of the city can be preserved.
