Our Five-Borough Petition to Save Our Parks and Open Spaces

Our green spaces are so efw & so small. We need more, not fewer! Please add to what we have. Do not let NYU compromise our quality of life!

NYU. while clearly a village resident and laudible institution has flooded and overwhelmed the historic and unique nieghborhood known as Greenwich village. The decimation of this prized area is underway now for decades and if not stoppedimmediuatly will simply and qu9ickly lead to the obliteration of all that may remain after the expansion into the community

Please do NOT destroy our parks!!!!

Please save our Parks and open spaces

Supporting the Judge's decision is crucial.

Once we lose these green spaces we never get them back! Please protect the quality of life in this city.

We need to maintain New York parks and open spaces for all - New Yorkers and visitors to Greenwick Village. NYU has been been destroying the beauty and nostalgia of the irreplaceable Greenwick Village

With all the skyscrapers and massive buildings, we need open spaces desperately.

New York already had too little green space per capita, we can't afford to let NYU take away public greens and common open space.

Please uphold Judge Mill's decision. NYU has many options to fall back on for development in other parts of NYC. Thank you.

So many of our community gardens have been destroyed over the years in a city where there is too little open space. They should be embraced, preserved, protected. They are the lungs of the city. They should not be sold to developers.

Despite the burgeoning ability of educational institutions to operate online, NYU has been destroying the historic nature of Greenwich Village with its voracious expansion. This is ironic considering that NYU publicizes that Historic Greenwich Village is its campus. It's infuriating that NYU doesn't say its campus is located there, but uses terminology as if it owns the Village as part of its campus -- which is quite telling.

Stop NYU from ruining life for everyone who lives in the Village and for further destroying the fabric and history. NYU is arrogant, there are many older buildings in the Financial area that it could retrofit or tear down to feed its non-stop expansion program. Students do not pay taxes, residents pay taxes, universities do not pay taxes, residential buildings do. People wat to live in the Village in part because of the parks and open spaces, in part because of the mixed residential, retail and restaurant mix that NYU has been chewing up. Do not let NYU eat up the precious open spaces/parks that are an amenity for all taxpaying residents and money spending tourist!

Our community is deprived when it comes to park space. NYU expansion plans are an unreasonable incursion into the little open space we have.
