Can we also talk about recalling Karen Rose? And the fact that their fear of taking a public vote to fire without cause cost the taxpayers around $80,000?

I am outraged that these people were elected to the school board. They all have a political agenda that has little to do with the children in public schools. One of the members has children in private school, so why the interest in public education? It is obvious that they want children indoctrinated in their own "Christian" beliefs, with little concern for the marginalized in the community.

Outrageous to have proud boys and moms for liberty on the school board.

Waste of $170,000 in severance pay plus the disruption of replacing Dr. Asplen plus what will they be paying a search firm to find replacement candidates?

I will be there in support of retaining Dr. Asplen and to voice opposition to this absurd action by Ziegler, Rose and the other 2 sheep, Enos and Marinelli.

I fully support Dr Aspen and am appalled by the actions of members of our new school board.

Ziegler and marinelli should be booted as well.

Dr Asplen was a great superintendent getting high reviews and maintaining an A rating for the schools. This was obviously political and not for the benefit of our school community.

Dr. Asplen was a great superintendent! The whole community supported him! How dare partisan board members take this action! Strictly political!!!!

It appears that a violation of the FL sunshine act has occurred. A thorough investigation into the behavior of the new school board members is needed

Politics has no place when discussing our children’s schooling.

Our kids are the important part of the board’s job, not their own political agenda creating issues of their own making!

This entire fiasco is awful and they should all be censured! Makes me sick to my stomach with all the crap that is happening in our city, state and country.
