This is so sick. I hate the fact we will have to put our daughter in a private school. Why would the town be so STUPID and allow these things to happen to our children.

This issue will keep coming up unless a long term soultion is found. We need to find a way to fund the schools at the level they need to provide a well rounded education for our children.

I'm really sad to see this happening in my home town, especially because I have family and friends whose children attend EB schools. I hope something can be done to save these programs for those students who need the creative arts and athletics programs as an outlet or place to succeed where they may not in academics or socially.

When I was in that school art was one of the only creative outlets I actually enjoyed. If they take away every creative outlet the dropout rate will and overall attendance will plummet

I know for a fact that my class will transfer to another school of choice. My dream of becoming something that has to do with art will be ruined. I will not ruin my career by not having the classes I need in order to get into the college I want.

how devastating for the children in East Bridgewater! Many children will be looking into other school choice options of this happens! Our children need these programs outside of academics!

I think that cutting these w old be catastrophic to all students! My children are involved in Art, Chorus, band, and sports and love and thrive from these activities! There has to b another way!

As a sophomore in the high school and a member of the music department, I feel that it is important for all of us students to have the ability to access our creative outlets outside of academics through extracurricular activities.

As an alumna of EBHS and its impeccable music program, I am appalled, disheartened, and furious that administrators want to cut all creative and physical outlets for our youth. The teachers I had in the EB school system inspired me to become a teacher, myself. I encourage my own students to seek these outlets to help emotionally and mentally. I see my students doing better in math and reading because they are utilizing their art and music and they are happier and healthier thanks to physical education. I recognize that with the new school, the budget is fluctuating and difficult to predict, but to cut these programs is ludicrous. To cut teachers is also detrimental, but to save more jobs and help keep our youth ready to face college and careers, these programs MUST be saved. Please, East Bridgewater School Committee, save art, music, gym, and technology!

Students, no matter what extra curricular activity they're interested in, should NOT have to suffer because the school administration screwed up their budget

As a senior at EBJSHS, and having taken CAD (1,2,3), Metals (1&2), Graphics 1, etc. & also a recipient of the Art 1 award and currently enlisted in the US Air Force as a Mechanic- Tech Ed, Art, Phys Ed, etc are CRUCIAL programs, especially in am

As a father to two young girls in the East Bridgewater public schools I find the proposed cuts completely unacceptable. As a community we need to attend the meeting on May 7th and be vocal and question the decisions being made by this school board and selectmen. All of these issues could and should have been addressed well before now, just two months before the start of the fiscal year.

Cutting these programs will deeply affect our children not only as an interest they have but will have a profound effect on a negative way for college apps as that on the college priority list along side of GPA!!

Cutting all of these programs will harm the growth of the kids in this town. I grew up here and I am a product of a strong music and athletics program. They help kids develop skills used in all aspects of life by forcing kids to work together as a team, and teaching them time management skills, among several other benefits. I personally wasn't very involved in Art or Tech Ed, but these are also important for kids to learn. In this day and age, it's ridiculous to even consider cutting computers.
