Our Children Matter

It is unacceptable that we hear disturbing reports about a specific teacher from numerous students, teachers, and parents, yet the school & the superintendent continue to renew this teacher's contract. It feels like their goal is just to keep sweeping allegations under the rug and ignoring the safety of our children. While our schools and administration are perfectly able to warn us about potential risks outside of the school, The real risks seem be kept in the dark. Now that parents and their children are talking about this, a bright light has uncovered so many problems that concern us. I understand that our administration lacks the courage to stand up for parents to protect our children, but we parent are stronger than their weakness. Our voice can be stronger than their silence. Our lights of information wont' allow them to keep us in the dark any longer. It is time that the Board and the Superintendent protect our children.

As a former teacher and a current sub I find this man's actions beyond disgusting. How can behavior like this be so long ignored by the administration? A student told me that she had gone to the principal over a year ago about this and nothing was done. This kind of teacher makes the whole profession look bad to the public!

Just as we punish students for their bad choices, James Wiens should be punished for his. With punishment that matches the crime.

The "lack" of teaching that has also occurred with this man should be taken into account. He lays out a test with answers so the students can cheat....... Also has the student aides/girls of course, stand on desks to hang up posters on walls in front of him. The next day he makes them hang up the SAME poster again!! Lets stand up Newton!
