The Otter Sports Center at Cal State Monterey Bay is outdated and too crowded, especially with the increase of students this semester. A newly renovated sports center will encourage and facilitate healthy exercising habits for the CSUMB community.
We propose that the school:
- Remodel and ”beautify” the gym by adding more open windows to provide scenery and an aerated facility.
- Increase the machines/equipmentavailability.
- Use higher quality machines - update to iPhone 6 health app, nike+, fitbit compatible machines.
- Install a healthier option vending machine.
- Create a specified areas for exercises/activities such as calisthenic training, yoga, and racquetball.
