Please hold Commissioners accountable when they abuse the trust of the public. It's an issue of public agency and ethical representation. Thank you.

Our elected officials should be held accountable for intentionally misleading the public, especially white a pattern of behavior.

We cannot allow public office positions to be dishonest, wasteful and self-serving. Looking the other way would leave the door wide open for future corruption. We must stop this before it can take hold, full investigation into Joe Moss' actions MUST happen.

Joe Moss began lying on his first day on the board, even to his fellow OI commissioners. He had corporate counsel make false accusations in court. He misrepresented HR counsel to his fellow commissioners about the buyout packages in closed door sessions. Letting him off the hook is not acceptable.

I contacted my Commissioner, Josh Brugger, and expressed my disappointment in him voting against transparency. His name is tarnished by the accusation against him. He could have shown us that he is interested in transparency and accountability by voting to proceed with the investigation.

Very disappointed that this is being swept under the rug. This is not expectable.

I really hope something will come out of this. What he did to our county is unforgivable

I want honesty and transparency in my leaders. OI and Joe Moss should be in jail not just off the board.

To not hold Mr. Moss accountable in any tangible way is a disgrace and a disservice to Ottawa County. Do better BoC

It is wrong that the BOC chose not to investigate Moss’ behavior. It only showed that they chose the easy way not te ethical issues that constituents want u dealt with

When you let ethics violations slide, you open yourselves up to more messes in the future. Norms and ethics keep order and allow us to take pride in how we behave as a community.

This board was elected to stop the unethical behavior, fiduciary irresponsibility, and bring accountability back to county government. Very, very disappointing!

I am very disappointed to see there will be no investigation into these huge payouts to short term employees. This is financial mismanagement by the Board and choosing to ignore it is a green light to continue. Constituents are paying attention and taking names.

I created a post on Ottawa Objects that summarizes my thoughts. In summary: our current BOC REALLY dropped the ball in letting Moss off the hook! It was a gut punch to all of us that had higher hopes for BOC members that aren't affilliated with OI. Still party over politics as always!
