That was, by far, the best supporting role. His portrayal of Doc Holliday was nothing short of amazing. I have seen that movie over 1,000 times, with no exaggeration.

You only have to watch the different roles he's played to see what a talented actor he is. Playing Doc Holliday in Tombstone just proved his dedication to acting. I watch that movie lots....the drawcard is Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday. The rest of the cast were brilliant too but hIs portrayal was the cherry on the top.

May justice be made, same for his roles in Willow, Thunderheart, The Doors and Top Secret. With Tombstone, they form a pentagon of what American Cinema is all about. My favorite is Willow, the Top. We watched Willow thrice in a row my mom, sister and me in Madrid, Spain when it first came out in one of Gran Via’s great theaters.

No one....and I mean no one could have created the magic Mr. Kilmer created as Doc Holiday....is anyone quoting lines from all those movies made that same year today? No Sir...but Val's performance was so beyond amazing...I truly believe people will be quoting his lines a generation from now.
Would I vote for Val Kilmer to get the Oscar he should have gotten years Aug ?
You bet...I'm your Huckleberry...that's just my game.
God look Val...and God bless

Not even a nomination? Kilmer’s portrayal of Holiday was clearly the top performance of 1993 - perhaps of decades. Scenes/lines he brought to life are burned into a generations consciousness making the movie memorable for decades in contrast to the many one finds difficult to recall as the credits roll.
