I agree completely! Val deserved the award and didn't even receive a nomination! He deserves an apology!!! He should have received an award for every role he has ever done!

An injustice? It was scandalous that Val didn't even receive a nomination for his roll in Tombstone. It's one of the best performances I've ever seen. At one point I was starting to think that he was actually ill during the production his performance was that good. Shame on you academy!

I have
seen this movie a dozen or more times. The movie itself is pretty good, but I watch it repeatedly, and Kilmer's performance is what brings my wife and me back again and again is the portrayal or Doc Holliday by Val Kilmer. He deserves a retroactive Oscar from the Academy.

Val Kilmer was cheated out of an Oscar in 1993. I haven’t seen 6 performances as good as his Doc Holiday in my life.

At the very leas, Kilmer should have won hands down best supporting actor for his role as Doc Holliday in the 1993 Tombstone movie.

This is one might be one of the biggest snubs ever, Val Kilmer embodied the character and lifted the film to make it a classic. I was totally invested in the film because of Val’s performance as Doc Holiday, just like Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight it’s a generational performance that would be hard to imagine anyone else could pull off.

I only saw Tombstone for the first time about a month ago but it is now my favourite movie ever. This is purely down to Val Kilmer’s performance, which completely blew me away. I adore him.

I agree that Val Kilmer should have been nominated for the Best Actor award, and should have won it as well.
