Val Kilmer stole the show in Tombstone. I saw the other movies And I love Unforgiven it is a great western. And Gene Hackman played a the role great. And while Jack Nicholson was great in A Few Good Men, his only scene of note was the courtroom scene. But Val Kilmer really carried Tombstone, and his performance was Witty, Funny, Tough, Charismatic, Deep and Long Lasting. My wife and I both felt he was not only robbed in not receiving a nomination. But for "not" taking home a statue for that unforgettable performance.

Typical Hollywood dysfunction . Why doesn’t surprise me , looking back I see where it has lead . Hollywood is bankrupt ! Such a shame , it could’ve been so different.

Kilmer was robbed. He elevated the film. Every time my ex came home from college, we would pop in the vhs & fast-forward thru every scene Val wasn't in.

By far the best performance EVER!! I'm watching it now. I saw Unforgiven and it is in NO WAY better than Tombstone. Val was and is an Amazing Actor. Look up a group on Pandora called The Good Ol Boys (from Placerville. Ca.) They have a song called, A Friend like Holiday

He was truly outstanding and funny as hell. As someone else stated, he elevated the movie. It is now after 2013, but I needed to sign petition and leave a comment. He was done an injustice. Shame on them.
