It is very unfair that defence personnel are not being given a fair treatment by the got. They have been cheated in all pay commissions. Is this the reward for loyalty and sacrifice?

This Ian highly objectionable that the OROP is not given in full as promised by the PM. High time our nation respect the soldiers who are the guardian of our sovereignty

Denial of OROP as defined by the ESM is an act of treason by the govt ; it shows that gestures made to the soldiers by the govt are mere gestures and that they do not carry any value. We have been cheated.

Govt should stop playing games and stand in false prestige denying the approved OROP to the soldiers. Perhaps govt is oblivious to the long term damage it is causing to the morale of the soldiers and national security.

It should be implemented as per the definition approved by parliament.

Indian Government, Media and People at large need to introspect even the existence of such a petition. The sooner this petition is comprehensively disposed graciously, the better it would be for an aspiring / upcoming regional / world power.

The Government has promised to give OROP. The definition of OROP has since been defined by parliamentary committee. In the process of award of OROP, the Government has diluted the definition of the OROP thus denying full benefits of the scheme being passed on to the Veterans. It is sad to say that veterans have to fight for their rights and come on the streets in protest which doesn't behove well for the growing democracy. So for safe guarding the interests of veterans and To avoid compromising the security of the nation

Yes, I agree. Parl is Supreme, and the OROP as approved by Parl, cannot be diluted, but by Parl only.
