Lack of consultation with those who hold manawhenua. Patuharakekek has been taking care as kaitiaki for years and never seen this Iwi who many of us do not whakapapa to.

I oppose the settlement process under way between the Crown and Te Runanga o Ngati Whatua on the grounds it is against hapu rangatiratanga; it will be prejudicial to the hapu I belong to Patuharakeke and our whanaunga hapu. We have not mandated TRONW to partially settle our affairs. It is a breach of my fundamental human rights to choose with whom I assemble. The Crown is disunifying our Maori communities.

I do not support the Ngāti Whatua AIP. They need to wait until Ngāpuhi negotiations with the Crown come to an end first.
