I am a mokopuna of Morore Piripi, last paramount chief of Ngatiwai. Ngati Whatua have clear boundaries from south of matakana and have their own stretch of land and moana for which they receive crown funds for already without encroaching on other iwi boundaries.

I strongly oppose the Ngati Whatua AIP, Deed of Mandate and any Settlement Package being negotiated with the Crown and call for an immediate stop until such time that tribual boundaries are clarified with hapu who hold the mana whenua in these areas. There has been no consultation with local hapu (mana whenua) of the areas affected by this AIP.
