Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

I am 100% against this development. There are other areas in Weedon that i feel would be more suitable and less intrusive to our village way of life.

I think we all agree houses are required but there needs to be thought behind the location and impact on existing area but this development it seems hasn't had any. Wrong location, wrong amount of houses and wrong village.

This development, if approved, would have impose an intolerable on the infra structure of the village.

Then infrastructure is old and inadequate in capacity to cope with an additional 150 households.

Local infrastructure and roads would buckle under the weight of so many people moving into the village so quickly. In addition, the school has only just expanded and is already at 98-99% capacity.

I am strongly against the new housing development.

More housing would be seriously derogatory to the present occupiers of this village. If more development occurs in this village, I for one will be looking for another village to move to.

Against this Road inferstructure and traffic . Also flooding amount of water running down street .

I object to this site as a bridle way runs through the top end of the proposed development, and in the future residents of this new site will then complain about it being used as a bridleway. todays development residents are tomorrows objectors! I know this will happen by experience!

The village cannot take a development of the size proposed by Gladman.

This development should never happen as the size of it is overpowering and the infer structure is not in the village to take it

Housing for young people like me in a green field tucked away nowhere near facilities in the village. don't think so.

Just not the right place to build!

there is no room in the school or doctors for extra people also new street is single lane because of parked cars and could not handle extra traffic.

To build houses on this land would be ridiculous . The doctor's surgery and school would struggle to cope and the village cannot take any more traffic .

The village centre is always very busy with cars and it is almost impossible now to drive through . New Street is always busy with vehicles going up and down and if parked there it can be up to ten minutes before you can pull out. The roads are full of potholes now , from Harmans Way into the village . When the A5 is full of cars due to problems on the motorway , numerous cars use the village as a shortcut . Whenever it rains Farthingstone road floods down into the village , with less land to soak up the water it would surely be worse . Local services are already struggling to cope .

This is totally the wrong place for these houses, the village does not have the infrastructure to cope with this proposal.

Totally inappropriate development proposal. It deserves total opposition. The services like the doctors surgery and school are already completely stretched. The roads are chaos at commuter times with people driving dangerously down the narrow roads and the centre is often blocked by cars trying to get through. Never mind times when multiple cars come through the village when the A5 is experiencing traffic issues. There are just so many reasons for this development not to happen. Please do your best to get the signatures required; otherwise this village will literally be ruined in so many ways.

Common sense is essential in planning decisions, this development is far far outside that criteria!

1:Traffic in center of village will become even worse than it is especially if going out Church Street. 2: Concern about increased risk of flooding
