Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

I would like to be a little controversial and mention unsocial behaviour. As we already suffer greatly from weedons youth being disrespectful not only to my property and I'm sure other peoples too, but to the people in my household. I'm fed up of being verbally abused, having things thrown at my windows, having my door kicked and door bell rang late at night not only by boys but girls too, how much worse will it get when there are 20 times more teenagers living in such close proximity? The police have tried but can do nothing unless they are caught red handed. I think policing the village should be added to the list of issues, one pcso will not be enough it's not enough now!

No infrastrucutre in the village centre to support these houses.

I oppose to the development on new street due to incease in traffic and less countryside for wildlife

We are a rural village, that suffers from traffic congestion now on this road specially bin day) so extra cars would be a nightmare. This road and field floods now so how are we going to cope with the added burden.

I am concerned about the impact to local schools, roads, doctors, dentists etc. people move to villages for a quieter slower pace of life. The bigger the village the more this will change

I am opposed to the number of houses proposed and the location due to impact on increased flood risk and traffic problems. Not opposed to development of the village via Parish Council plans.

I am opposed to the number of houses in this location on grounds of: - 1) Traffic problems for construction and due to the number of extra residence cars 2) Increased flood risk from run off. Both of these are already a problem and this development would increase the problems greatly.

Concerned about the impact on our amenities, the roads and esp the schools. Surely the building on the a45 is enough new housing for the area. I understand people want to live more within more countryside but by doing this you are removing the village feel.

Leave the green field alone.How are old people supposed to get safely to the doctors and shop, and children get to school on the narrowest possible roads and footpaths with this huge increase in construction traffic planned over years.

I am opposed to this speculative development. There are many other sites in and around Weedon that can provide more affordable housing options without the major impact on services, residents and roads.

The village cannot cope with this development. All of our services are at breaking point

The old village roads are not wide enough for a constant flow of additional traffic..and this would be particularly dangerous for the many children who walk to school on the already narrow pathways.

I oppose this proposed development on the grounds of poor access, lack of infrastructure to support this increase on population and the building outside the village boundaries on a greenfield site.

Weedon is slowly being turned into a small town and has had its fair share of development of late. Concerns greatly lay on the size of the development with only one entrance on New Street which is already suffering from floods. Access due to tight 'village' roads are already under stress to cope with existing occupants. I would like to see evidence of alternative sites that would be more suitable for this type of development rather than squeezing in the governments quota of new housing/social housing into a totally unsuitable site.

The scale of this development is unsuitable. The school and road network are not able to support the proposal. There are serious concerns about flooding and sewerage. Then there is the issue of destroying the village community by bolting a housing estate onto it. I support small scale development in line with a suitable plan for the village. This however is just far too large.

I support sensible development that will support the village not development that will overstrain the infrastructure in terms of traffic volume, flood defence and services such as the school and GP surgery. I have heard/seen nothing about this proposed developed that supports the positive and sensible growth of our village.

The size of this development is totally unsuitable for any village to cope with, including Weedon. The increase in population is the equivalent of attaching Everdon onto the village (population 350). The greed of the land owners concerned, working in conjunction with these developers shows a complete disregard for the quality of life for others. The acquisition of more and more money at the expense of the countryside and countless local families. I hope their sleep is constantly disturbed by their greed.

Why spoil the village and over popular late it and spoil the views around the village , go build on a brownfield site some where else

The proposal appears ill thought out in terms of quality of life for the existing residents and potential newcomers to the area. The existing infrastructure only just copes with the current numbers in the village, Note the traffic problems in travelling through the village in safety.
