Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

This will overload the village in all respects

A totally ridiculous plan. Greed over common decency.

Too many houses for the infrastructure of the village to cope with, let alone the school and the surgery. Does the landowner concerned have any regard for this village and its inhabitants? Can Weedon really cope with an estate that would contain the same number of residents as Everdon? Obviously not. How about building this development next to the Russell Farm ?

The school has been extended to accommodate new developments already. The road set up in the middle of the village is difficult enough already and the increased volume of traffic would make it impossible. This development land would not be infill and promote further projects of this kind on green open countryside that the villagewould not want to take place

The village cannot accommodate a new development of this size. The traffic will increase and there will be excessive demand on the services. Keep Weedon as it is.

The village will not cope with an additional large development like this. We need to say no!

Let us keep Weedon as it is,we do not want the worries of flooding,or more traffic congestion especially in New Street.

At the best of times traffic is already very heavy, anyone who has lived in this area for any length of time knows just how quickly the traffic becomes gridlocked if accidents occur on the A5/A45 or M1. The schools doctors and dentists will struggle and where will people park for these facilities or the shops

It is far to big for all services in Weedon to cope with and the traffic increase at the Plume cross road is very dangerous now with out another 300 t0 400 cars using per day.

This planning application has no basis in reality. Gladman are seeking planning permission for a development they will never build. The land will be sold on to a builder or group of builders with planning permission for a large profit, the builders will then resubmit the plans with double the density of houses thereby doubling their profit margin. The planning system that allows for this blatant abuse of the normal democratic process is corrupt and biased in favour of speculators such as Gladman.

Weedon is already over crowded. A village with a wonderful community spirit, to make it any bigger will remove the feel of a village.

New street traffic is very heavy and is already dangerous

This not a suitable development for an already large village with existing pressures on access and facilities. In particular It is not appropriate to overload the road network increasing the risk to residents safety. Do we really need to lose yet more green fields to a greedy devolper! There is clearly little consideration for the local enviroment or residents.

There is enough traffic in the village as it is. More would just pose even more of a risk to the residents of the village, especially young children and the elderly crossing the roads.

The village does not have the infrastructure to support this development. The school is already oversubscribed. The village streets are very narrow and cannot support the amount of construction traffic coming through. Such a huge development has implications for the antiquated drainage and sewerage systems in the village, as well as flooding being a major issue. This development is totally unwanted by the residents. It is massively too big and in totally the wrong place.

I moved to the village from northampton for a quieter life with my son, this development will almost turn Weedon into a town!!

Weedon is quite a large village anyway, and very congested, especially by One Stop, the school and New Street is far too narrow for the volume of traffic there is at the moment.

I agree with all the objections made. The effect on local infastucture would be unacceptable.Village just could not cope.
