Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

The village can't cope with the traffic at present, with the additional properties it will become impossible

This is a plan without a plan

We are against this simply because it is a plan without planning

Just 50 Houses would be enough to cause gridlock at peak times let alone this many.

The development is too large for the village

The proposed development is far too large for a village and would have a significant impact on residents lives

We strongly object to this development. 1) The village facilities cannot sustain any more large scale development. 2) Already supporting outlying villages for Doctors, P.O., Dentist etc. 3) This is greenbelt & agricultural land

We are totally against the proposed development, there is no way that Weedon could accommodate all these new properties. New Street is not wide enough to allow the construction vehicles to access the site either.

We have had more than enough houses built in weedon in the last 25 years

Roads, Sewers & School Cannot Cope

The drains, roads and services (doctors, school, chemists etc.) already used to full capacity & could not cope with an extra 150 families.

Starmers row is 50 yards to our left & the builders yard next door are good developments but this 155 houses is wrong.

My main concerns regarding the proposed development is that it is too large, whether the village can cope with the increased volume of traffic, and the impact on it's infrastructure.

i think Weedon The has done their bit for the housing market over the years we have doubled in size since i was a child not totally against building houses but this is far too big for our village .The doctors,school,roads and sewage just will not cope.GLADMANS JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!!

I think the village roads are already struggling to cope with the amount of traffic and it would be inadvisable to increase this by what could easily be 150 -300 cars. It would cause real problems over the bridge and at the plume crossroads and also getting out of the village onto the A5.

The traffic in New Street is already a problem. The additional 150 houses can be expected to add at least 200 additional cars. That could be an extra 300-400 journeys a day along New Street. The village centre cannot cope with that. Many of the new houses are likely to bought bought by younger couples so there could well be over 100 or so small children needing schooling. How will the village school cope with the influx. The extra houses may well mean that the surgery will have over 300 new patients. How will they provide a good service in view of the extra workload.

Typical - build the houses then leave the residents to deal with the chaos - total lack of proper thought and consideration
