The road network in the heart of the village struggles to cope with the current volume at any time of day and as a consequence in areas is already dangerous.

There is no justification for this proposal - the village cannot sustain the increased volume of traffic when even the motorway or A5 is blocked let alone an increase of this amount. There is no infrastructure to support the increased number of residents and this would impact severely on people already living in the village, as it would put increased pressure on the surgery, dental practice etc. The school cannot be increased in size and this would lead to additional traffic movement of parents taking children to other schools within the catchment area. The village is big enough already, it will lose its identity if more properties are built.

Developers and planners never live with the consequences of the devastation caused within communities. They just up and move on to the next plot.

There is just NOT ENOUGH ROOM left in the village for this type of expansion. Why not build a new village 20 miles away

I am opposed to the development , New street is a busy road and is already difficult for parking , I have had damage to my car due to traffic any increase will be unacceptable , likewise , heavy plant vehicle's are likely to cause damage to my property as even now when from traffic goes past my house shakes from the vibrations. Equally this development is likely to de value my property

This is completely the wrong location for such a development. There are a number of preferable sites with regards to access and through traffic issues

This proposal is:- Outside the build line of the Village; on a greenfield site: accessed from a narrow road just past the main 'building line boundary': situated on a hillside that gathers the runoff water when there is a period of wet weather, this water then 'puddles' all along the back build line of the Newcroft houses and Doctors surgery, (following the line of the in use Bridal Way)-- from Oak Street to Farthingstone Hill -- becoming a driving hazzrd when it freezes over at the entry to the proposed site.To access the site ALL traffic would have to enter the Village off the A45,pass through a housing estate and cross an Ancient Bridge, over the River Nene. Heavy weight traffic is weakening the sub-structure of this bridge so ALL additional such vehicles are not welcome unless absolutely necessary and this is NOT such a case. Weedon has had extensive Brownfield development in the past few years enlarging the village by a considerable number of inhabitants and their families. The Primary School's recent redevelopment (finished Aug.2014) has used 'ALL their spare land bank', so there is NO room for further enlargement on their site. They have the use of the adjoining 'playing field, (over-seen and maintained by the Parish Council), otherwise there could not be any outdoor sports.There is also the matter of the Doctor's Surgery which is struggling NOW with the grown/growing population(s), not only of Weedon but the neighbouring Villages, which rely on their services NOT having surgeries of their own, or being too small to warrant one. An enlargement programme was too small by the time it was completed and had no additional spare land, and still the village is expected to continue to grow without takeing account of such matters. Building outside the Village boundary would only exacerbate the problems of the school and doctors plus the lack of spaces at the Nursery and the Preschool, where parents who need to work have a considerable problem getting a space.T

I have trouble parking outside my house now.

Village centre roads cannot cope with the existing traffic levels. Parking is already horrendous.

The village infrastructure will not be able to cope with the extra traffic, especially considering the speed at which some traffic already travels through. In addition, this proposed expansion will mean more traffic cutting through South Street which is already overused in this way.
