The road isn't wide enough to cope with extra traffic and we don't want any more flooding in the village. The doctors, dentist and school won't be able to cope either.

Too big a development for such a small vilage with already not enough shops or school places.

I just cannot understand why we need to build on these greenfield sites when all I see driving around Northamptonshire are unused buildings or industrial unit.
Perhaps we should look at sorting the shambles that is the Royal Mail office in the centre of Northampton before destroying more of the countryside.

We want to preserve the rural nature of the village and the very poor access to the village via the bridges means that significant developments should not happen.

The Plume of Feathers crossroads is already difficult and can be dangerous, and New Street (and South Street) are virtually single line traffic now. It must be a nightmare for bus drivers at present. To add construction traffic through New Street (and what alternative would there be?) and then permanently increase road traffic travelling to the A45 and A5 through the narrow centre of the village from such a large and inappropriately situated development would be madness.

I don't believe that the infrastructure of the village is able to sustain such a substantial increase in families. I am very concerned for safety issues in terms of traffic,support services including medical and education.

An extra 200+ cars in the already crowded and narrow streets of this village will be intolerable. Plus the fact that the school and doctors surgery would be overloaded. Houses do not absorb water as do the existing fields with probable flooding in the village. This proposed development should not be allowed to go ahead!

Why would the council countenance such a large development without first putting the infrastructure in place to service it . The developer should be pressed to fund the required infrastructure . This is an opportunity to get a new road off the A45 at Dodford, around the village to feed the development. Also new sewers would need to be built to cope with the extra flows . The school would need to be rebuilt on anew site to achieve the capacity required . The village will only benefit from development if the council is prepared to wring concessions out of the developers and not only look to line their coffers with council tax receipts .

I understand the need for housing but I believe the proposal is far too big for Weedon. There is not enough infrastructure in place and I feel we would lose the sense of being A VILLAGE, as well as all the general flooding, traffic issues

If there is a shortage of affordable housing can they not renovate the old ordnance building in a sympathetic manner retaining the character of the building.
