Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

School Sewage system Doctors Roads and parking Need I say more?

Congestion, Schooling, Drains, Access....... Non have been considered in the proposal of this development. This will ruin Weedon and the surrounding area.

The traffic congestion in narrow streets leading to this site would be appalling!

I hope DDC are taking note, keep up the good work. This development is in the wrong place and at the wrong pace for the village.

the village can cope with a developement of this size Schools is allready full and doctor surgery is working at capasitity

Wrong site, re-develop the depot.

This seems inappropriate and unnecessary. Surely DDC will not agree to it

Far too large development! There will be far too much traffic. The school cannot cope as it is let alone with a huge addition.

Far too large a development for village infrastructure.

The crossroads in the centre of the village are already busy and dangerous enough to cross without the added influx of 150 further households vehicles needing access.

This development is too large for the location. There are other more suitable locations for development.

Infrastructure in Weedon is not good enough for the proposed site. New street far too narrow. Water running off proposed site will be too much for drainage system in village. Primary school not big enough for another large site with no room to expand. Village already getting too big.

It's rediculous to even contemplate building such a large development on that site, as many have already said issues with flooding is a huge concern and the roads and pavements leading to the site are too narrow to cope, these roads were built for horses and carts not lorries, buses and cars! Also the junction at the plume of feathers is hazardous enough already with the amount of traffic we have now, how many accidents will happen when there are an extra 200 cars using that junction?

Flooding, struggling local amenities, narrow roads, dangerous narrow pavements are just a few reasons this should not go ahead.

Everyone who cares about our countryside and protecting it against developers who ride roughshod over villages, villagers and local councils should sign this petition .

I have lived in Weedon 37 years and olive on New Street . Since development lower end New Street and South Street . An increase in motor vehicles . Infrastructure of my rods cannot take extra traffic . Also even with retention pool on proposed development . Risk of flooding high due to run off Fathingstone Road .

There are already parking and traffic issues more are not needed ,it will have a knock on effect to many things keep it as a village don`t make it the size of a town .

Stop traffic and building more houses
