Opposition to Speculative Development in Weedon

This village simply cannot cope with yet more building and traffic. Soon there'll be no countryside left at all!!!

I am fully against such a large development of housing in Weedon. The roads & amenities are not going to be able to deal with the increased volume.

I fully support all the objections that have been made

The roads into the village, plus the already grossly overloaded sewage system would be put under immense strain. Likewise the local school, and health centre.

We call on the decision makers to urgently reconsider the building of such an excessive development in the view of overwhelming local opposition.

I am wholly opposed to this speculative development on a greenfield site outside the village boundary and against the village plan.

Weedon has had more than its fair share of development over recent years which has stretched the capacity of local services. To now suggest building on virgin Greenfield outside the village building line would be outrageous.

The proposed development site is wholly unsuitable for housing. The road network is unable to cope, the development will increase flood risk and the local amenities do not have capacity.

I strongly opposed the proposal of the development in Weedon, specifically New Street development

I would urge the Council and Planning Inspecorate to hold off any speculative development until the completion of the Joint Core Strategy and Local Plans that will ensure building takes place in appropriate locations and at an appropriate pace.

The proposition of a residential development of this size in this location practically and technically flawed. The road network in the heart of the village struggles to cope with the current volume particularly over the single lane bridge at the main access to the major junction of the A5/A45 and as a consequence in areas is already dangerous. Coupled to this the school is at capacity even following recent building works. The position of the site and number of proposed properties cannot be accommodated within the infrastructure of the village.

This is an ill conceived proposal with clearly no consideration for the effect on the existing community or impact on an already strained infrastructure. Its motivation can only be to line the pockets of the land owner and developer.

More SEWAGE? No Thanks! More TRAFFIC? No Thanks! More FLOODING? No Thanks! Bigger SCHOOL? No Room! EMPTY PROPERTY? Why? PARK AT THE SURGERY? Where?

There is no suitable access to this greenfield site that doesn't have massive impact on everyone within the village. If the driving force is social and affordable housing why choose this site.

Every one in this village will regret this development if they let it happen so let's all unite and beat all developments that want to ruin our village

This is the wrong side of the village for building, the crossroads near the Plume has always been a problem, it won't cope with extra traffic.

Transport infrastructure is already overloaded, the congestion through the village would be terrible.

The proposed development is far to big for Weedon and all main services would not be able to cope and would cause traffic mayhem.
