It won't bring tourist. Lack of tourist mean no jobs no employees means no casino just another abandoned property.

There's so much evidence that casinos hurt communities in numerous ways, from a moral standpoint to an economic standpoint and those that are hurt the most are usually the most vulnerable members of our communities, our senior citizens and families with children. I love Ridgecrest and care about our citizens and do not want to see such an unwise decision made. I oppose any proposal to allow a casino access to our city.

I agree that increased crime rate and gambling addiction are two reasons I oppose a casino in Ridgecrest.

Increased crime rate and gambling addiction are just two reasons I oppose a casino in Ridgecrest. It does not fit with our small-town environment. I vote no!

Casinos bring crime and addiction. It hurts families. There are better ways to increase local revenue.

Casinos do not increase revenue in small city locations. They are a drain on the community.

Please don't bring a casino here. If you want jobs bring in some businesses we can shop at. Single businesses don't last long because everybody goes out of town to do their shopping. If we had decent places here people would spread revenue around locally instead of driving to Palmdale every weekend...

No casino until the city does an economic impact study to demonstrate the casino has economic merit.
