Bringing a casino to Ridgecrest will ultimately bread depravity in our community. I'm strongly against it.

Having studied Casinos as Crime Hot spots and having talked to business professionals, especially in the medical industry, that will want to move if said casino is created, I cannot support this at this time.

I am opposed to a casino in Ridgecrest. We need lots of things in Ridgecrest but a casino is not one of them. Let's bring in some things for our young people and kids to do instead. A casino will harm our community not help it.

I want family friendly activities in Ridgecrest! We don't need the increased problems and crimes that go along with gambling.

2010 study on the matter in the Journal of Health Economics. “Results indicate that there is a strong link between the presence of a casino in a county and the number of alcohol-related fatal traffic accidents,” The owners are relying on an average of 169 cars a day coming from out of town to support the casino. Are all those people really not going to drink and drive? One drink is too much to drive. One life is worth keeping this casino out. It might be someone you love.

Not a smart community move! No regulation, no accountability, higher bankruptcy rates, and higher crime.

The phrase "Let RC grow" (in support of the Casino) is ironic because studies have shown the town and local businesses greatly suffer whenever a casino is built. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/08/a-good-way-to-wreck-a-local-economy-build-casinos/375691/
