Opposition to Penman Springs Cannabis Cultivation, Processing and Mfg Facility/SLO BF

STOP! This is insanity!

Actually Sheila, it is the neighbors who are appealing SLO County Plannings 11/20 approval of the cannabis project because it doesn't belong in our neighborhood. So we want them to support & approve our appeal. Just want to clarify.

Commercial cannabis belongs in industrial zoned areas, not in rural residential neighborhoods. Please deny this appeal.

Cannabis farming/processing has no place near homes and conventional farms (I.e., alfalfa, grapes, etc).

This cannabis project is not compatible land use nor is it compatible with the existing residential agriculture community. The neighbors do not want this commercial cannabis operation next door —as a Board of Supervisors listen to the hundred plus constituents on this petition and not the one cannabis applicant. PLEASE, DO NOT FORCE THESE CANNABIS OPERATIONS INTO RESIDENTIAL AGRICULTURE NEIGHBORHOODS LIKE PENMAN SPRINGS ROAD.

No. Stop. We do not want this and it's breaking all the rules. It's time the Board of Supervisors stop this and start listening to the people who put you in office.

The facts do not support making the required findings of neighborhood/ area compatibility for this application. it should be denied.

I live near this proposed project and am opposed to cannabis facilities in residential areas.

Keep our neighborhoods safe, smelling great and beautiful. Vote no on this project!

Please don't approve this project. It will change our neighborhood, Paso and SLO forever. Don't go down this path.

I own a neighboring property with my family. We love Paso Robles and don't want it ruined by the smell of a cannabis facility right around the corner. In addition to the smell, projects like this attract a criminal element and they look horrible. Is this what SLO and Paso want for their community. It will drive away tourists.

We live nearby and are very concerned with how this project will impact our home, its value, the quality of our lives and the beautiful Paso Robles area. Please don't approve this project.

I live on Harvest Ridge Way, just around the corner from the proposed project. This is terrible for our community. The smell, look and criminal element will negatively impact the residents. The look will also detract from the beautiful wineries in the area and hurt the tourism that is so vital to Paso Robles. Please don't let this happen.

There is no reason to have these plagues in our neighborhoods. Disgusting smell, traffic issues, and health issues for users as well as those left to deal with their corrupt problems.

There is absolutely nothing about this project that doesn't effect the neighborhood in a negative way. Along with the obvious current water situation, which by itself should stop all proposed sites for cannabis & vineyards, the addition of large trucks & more vehicles in general will make an already horrible dirt road & a pot hole filled paved road undriveable.

WE HAVE A VERY FRAGILE WATER SUPPLY AND IT IS BECOMING VERY SCARCE ALL OVER OUR STATE OF CALIFORNIA. Cannabis plants use a great deal of water. In 2015, Stuart Bartleson, a San Luis County business owner and resident donated 450 acres of his Bartleson Ranch in Arroyo Grande to Cal Poly University. This 450 acres has 17 wells on it for it’s lemon and avocado trees. All 17 wells went dry this year! The near future sees more drought than ever before, with much less rain fall. As you well know, WATER is our lifeline to living here on this planet. Water is more important than Cannabis! Please consider this most important decision you are making today. I have been a San Luis Obispo resident for 48 years. Even though I reside in the South County I see the extreme water usage for all of the cannabis projects throughout the County. We are now in a State of Emergency for water! It's time to stop these projects from ruining our depleting water tables!!

We live nearby the proposed cannabis site and we are AGAINST the facility being proposed. WE came to live and retire peacefully in the area and not have to worry about this kind of business that not only will be a huge drain on our water stores - but will change our peaceful rural, country living into a commercial zone and all that that implies and brings with it. NO ON THIS PROPSAL!!!!
