We don't need the extra traffic this will bring. This will affect the resale costs of our home. It is shortsighted to think this school may not be needed again, so why not just rent it out as the district has done with other properties.

I am strongly against building high-density housing in a single family residence neighborhood. Please respect families, the community, and neighborhoods. Be transparent: involve and inform residents of plans to sell closed school properties.

Multi-unit dense housing does not belong on the Glider property.

Enough with the high rise housing. Why don’t you first address the heavy traffic.

Keep it a school! Reach out to any private schools that may want to lease it.

Our district has already been inundated with thousands of new homes at the old IBM site. Putting multi family housing next to an existing neighborhood of single homes is wrong for tax paying citizens who bought these properties in a quiet area to raise their families.

As a therapist working with foster kids I've had two students who attended this school. I've visited them and their teachers at the school. It is one of the better elementary schools I've had the pleasure to visit.
It is also designated as a voting place for me and my husband.
We need to keep the school for the kids and reject money hungry investors who will only increase traffic and bring more kids who need good schools.

There are lots of young families with young children in our neighborhood in need of Glider School. We have an existing school to utilize. This sale will in effect take away from our children and families our connected neighborhood community which is why many of us chose to live here. This school is needed for our children and future children. OGSB and City of San Jose, don't be greedy for a quick influx of money that will profit few and create problems for our neighborhood. Also, not very far down the road, taxpayers shoudn't have to foot the bill to purchase land and building costs for a needed new elementary school when we had a perfectly functioning school. You are selling for short-sighted profit our children's quality of neighborhood community life experience. How can you call yourselves a school board when you do not have children's best interests in mind? Shame on you.

I totally oppose the proposed sale. This would result in loss of open space and a increase in traffic. Traffic is already an issue.

We shouldn't be adding high density housing without also having a plan on how the additional units will impact the surrounding neighborhood with traffic and parking concerns.

Please do not sell Glider School, but instead keep it open and serving the neighborhood youth, who there are a lot more of now, since we are having a small population explosion in Santa Teresa now..

High density housing will cause congestion on some pretty narrow streets and parking will become a nightmare.

Do not rezone or sell this school property. There are a multitude of reasons to keep the land as-is on top of those listed in this petition.

Common sense will tell you this is a disaster and not a solution by any means.
