The needs and wants of the Glider community need to be considered with high priority. Closing the school just a few short years ago was traumatic to the community. To sell the property for development would be devastating to them.

I do not agree with this.

I agree with other resident's posts that the neighborhood doesn't allow for dense housing due to no proper entry/exit points and it will cause over-population there. NO to this proposal/project!

Use glider for reducing class sizes and provide much needed relief to the teacher community

Just my thought, I think we should keep the school around if there is ever a need for social distancing in fall or any point in the future we may need more schools and reinstating Glider school maybe an option then if it still remains under OGSD possession. Selling it is a one way door and in such cases a two way door decision is the best since no one can tell what the future holds.

"Opportunity Housing" is clearly not compatible with neighborhood use.

I live in the neighborhood and I believe that high density housing in the center of a quiet, single family home neighborhood would be extremely detrimental. It would bring much more traffic and be huge drain on our already limited water resource. I am definitely opposed.

Glider neighborhood isn't suitable for dense housing for the lack of proper entry/exit points. This area needs enough open space. All alternate options must be explored with full transparency. No to dense housing!

No more housing. Especially, high density. We chose to live in the suburbs for a reason.

My fence directly borders the property. Any housing development will negatively impact my living situation and my property value.

I oppose dense or multi-family housing on the Glider school site. This area was built for family homes, not multi-use.units.

I don't support the sale of this property for use as an opportunity housing site. Our neighborhood already has several dense housing sites near Cottle, Raleigh, and Costco site. At least those sites have close highway access/light rail access and there is still significant issues with vehicle break ins, high cost, and litter. Glider is tucked away in a neighborhood, not the appropriate site for dense housing. I understand property negotiations must happen in Closed Session over the past year, but now the neighborhood needs just as much time to provide input.

If the school district doesn’t need this land they should try to do a park not more housing.

This is not what we signed up for at the time of purchasing this house in a peaceful neighborhood next to school. Nobody in our neighborhood deserves this to happen.
