Opposition to Loop 360 Development #SPC-2016-0453C 

Frank and Judy Gordon are totally opposed to this ridiculous proposal.

The sewage situation is absolutely ridiculous. You can’t own a chicken or change the front of your house without going before the board but raw sewage is fine? Entirely unacceptable in a private community of single family homes.

Traffic, environmental and just plain compliance with contracts are the reasons to oppose contined developer attempts to re-negioate ..

We just moved to Austin from Houston to get away from such runaway development. Et tu, Brute?

Tired of development before infrastructure's in place, and the city selling out existing residents for their larger budgets. I will not approve of anything on 360 until it is a true loop/interstate, like it would be in any other city in the world

There are very few ISDs in the nation likes Eanes and they all share certain characteristics that make them top places to educate children. On the top of the list is very few or zero apartments. Apartments will have a huge negative impact on the quality of an Eanes education. This is a well known and well documented correlation, the more single family homes and the more two parent highly educated households, the better. Apartments in Eanes are a huge threat to our educational way of life. We’re one of the best school districts in the nation and I find it reprehensible that the City of Austin and developers are threatening to ruin it.

Do not build.

Enough already. Please stop tearing down our green spaces for more buildings.

I am opposed to this development.

Until we can solve the current traffic situation on 360 then suspend all residential development of this magnitude. This would be gross negligence on the part of the governing bodies to ignore an extreme problem by adding to the problem of traffic congestion.

This is an insane idea. Aside from the obvious detriment to property values in Rob Roy, the sewage disposal plan should be illegal in an environmentally sensitive area. Stop this now.

Commissioners: When we bought our home in 1991 to raise our children, we relied upon zoning that there would be no apartment buildings across the street from us. If we knew zoning was going to be changed, we never would have purchased our property, nor would we have spent money renovating our home. Having a multi-housing high-rise apartment buildings across the street from our home, and sewage drainage into a lot on St. Stephens (across the street from our home) will create dangerous pollution, toxins and environmental foul odors that my family and other Rob Roy neighbors will breathe everyday. One house will be torn down (located on St. Stephens, owned by apartment builders), along with adjoining lot to the left of this house, to build a septic field to drain feces and urine from 100's of apartment dwellers. This sewage lot will have a direct impact on public health and welfare of over 1000 residents that live in 300 homes in Rob Roy neighborhood. This sewage will seep into properties that have well water use. I already have been hit by cancer twice already. It is illegal to contaminate our drinking water and air, see Texas Health and Safety Code 343.01. Additionally, these apartments will cause excessive nuisance to our properties that will decrease the value and enjoyment of our homes with excessive 24/7 lights on (apartments need a lot of light on for security), 100's of cars/traffic and noise from cars and people, and will cut off our views of the tree covered hills we and others in Rob Roy bought our homes for. This will certainly decrease our property values and force Rob Roy residents, as my myself, to sell our homes at decreased values, caused by public nuisances that substantially interfere with the enjoyment and safe use of residential homes. We have a right to rely on at time of purchase of our property in 1991 and now, upon the zoning which has been changed to allow this commercial building to be built for profit of the build

It is an ill-advised project for that sensitive and small site with a particularly horrible plan for sewage and disposal. A terrible idea that needs to be stopped now.
