Opposition to Escalating Rate Increases by Tampa Electric Company (TECO)

Enough is enough stop granting them rate increases!!!

My Teco bill use to $145 and now I am paying $328 on average and to say that being proactive by placing all electrical household appliances on a surge protect as well as turning off my water heater when not in demand as been to no avail. What an act of abuse...

Crazy prices

What really makes me mad is we are paying a company that belongs to another country. They are raking us over the coals with their price hikes and our government is doing nothing about it!

We can not continue with these rates.

The rising cost of electric and being a low income household it's really hard keeping up with Teco.

I live in what is considered a “tear down” in S. Tampa I have lived in S. Tampa since I was 15. I am now going to be 71. Things change over the years but I can’t see the justification in the outrageous monthly cost of energy! I am a Senior citizen living on a low income…. too low to pay $300 a month to keep cool or warm.. I was my Mother’s caregiver for 18 years and she passed away 2 and a half years ago and I wasn’t able to go work outside of the house! There should be some kind of break for children who caregive their parents!!

Out of control

with EMERA (TECO's owner) stock up 30% in the past year, and them giving out 4.3% dividends, TECO is not hurting for cash. hard working American Families are.

To what point does all this nickel-and-diming stop? The government gives its citizens a cost-of-living increase for 2026, and many service providers have already reached into our pockets by raising prices and passing on the cost to their consumers

After a bill of $425 I decided to sign up for one price bill for the whole year, with Teco, but really is hurting my budget. I keep my a/c at 78 and continue to save in many other ways.

When rate hikes by TECO were not allowed they bypass by adding an additional Storn surcharge averaging $35 per month.

my electric bill has increased 3 times this year alone. i am retired and on social security - cant keep paying this. TECO told me we had an unusually hot summer this year. sorry, It's always hot in Florida.

My current electric is more than before Helene and I have NO kitchen (no appliances), only ceiling fans/ lights with LED bulbs! RIDICULOUS!!

Keep rates lower so that people can survive.

Retired an on fived income. Also my wife and I both on 24/7 Oxygen and need to have concentrators on 24/7.

Tired of being ripped off by these clowns. Here we are with sky high inflation but these greedy scumbags couldn't care less. They need to go back to Canada. PSC sucks too. Corrupt bunch of crooks.
