Opposition to Escalating Rate Increases by Tampa Electric Company (TECO)

Lower our rates! You are killing us!

The prices are ridiculous and unsustainable, start charging these companies with all the large warehouses being built around the city more, not your local residents.

Teco has raised my electric bill way too much as a single parent of 2 kids this is ridiculous what I pay monthly for a small townhome

Please get your expenses/rates under control. Its getting to be where we need to pick which bill we're paying this month.

I’m a senior citizen barely making it

a 72% increase in Feb this year from 2025 and a 33% increase from 2024 to 2025 is not sustainable for FL residents.

Crazy how we have to pay 2x the amount for the last person usage as a deposit along with the your usage for that month. Then later on charge and extra security deposit

My light bill runs almost 300 a month and im in a 2 bedroom trailer obserd!!!! 2 window units is all I use. One during the day 2 at night. Nothing else no washer dryer set up Nothing. Why is my bill so high!?!?

I shouldn’t have to wonder if I am going to be able to keep the food we struggle to afford safe to eat because of these unnecessary hikes. Rent and electric have reached an alarming rate without a good reason.

An electric bill should not cost half of the mortgage payment.

No matter the justification for the year's price increases, Teco uses their monopolistic position to raise it beyond breaking even, for 18 months of price increase they will make profits off storms and disasters, while we are froced to pay for it. Not fair for the population. We demand affordable rates.

Tampa electric in my opinion must be stopped they are robbing we the people. They saw that the last couple of times no one bat an eye so they keep doing it. Something must be done.

My Bill has been like 7 -8-9 it's crazy and Thay still haven't fixed my outside light it's been a year they say they put a work order in Mexico has nothing to do with there's another company and I still haven't got it fixed and I'm still paying for it

All these increases started when Teco was bought by the present Candian company. My electric bill is ridiculously high.
