This is not in the best interest of the students in this area. This will likely increase their chances of being exposed to criminal activity and negatively impact their learning opportunity and educational experience. I'm sure there are other sites available that can accommodate this type of service that are not in such a close proximity to schools.

I have serous concerns over security of the students living on campus. Newark was ranked as one of the most dangerous city in NJ. Having this facility within walking distance from campus in-dangers student and stuff.
There are better places for such facility in Newark. and if city leadership cares about NJIT
ratings and students they need to rethink location of the center and try to make environment around NJIT safe and attractive for future students.

These people need help, I understand that, but trying to find the quickest and easiest building to set them up in is not the answer. Especially when it can negatively impact the students in the area. Build them a new facility or find one that gives them the seclusion and safety they need without impacting others.

This poses much concern and threat to the students that would be near this facility. Build the treatment center elsewhere! The safety and education of these college students have already been established and they shouldn't have to be impacted by this. I am signing for my whole family (5).

My son goes to NJIT and dorming at Maple Hall which is a 2 minutes walk. This does not make it a safe environment knowing there will be many intensive outpatients wandering nearby. I didn’t pay top $$$ for him to live and attend a school where this is even a consideration. The current situation is that it’s not even safe and we can’t imagine the ramifications that this will bring to the area and its young students who are seeking a qualified and safe institution.

I am strongly opposed to this next to my students dorm! Students in Maple Hall have night classes and need to be in a safe environment! Please reconsider placement!

There is no reason a drug clinic should be this close to a college. The safety of the students comes first.

Too close to Rutger’s Newark and NJIT’s campuses. I am very concerned about the safety of the students. I am paying a lot of $ to send my child to school and want this area kept safe and nice.
