The fact that the city of Lowell is trying to mandate the number of non- related occupants in a dwelling seems asinine to me.

I live next to collage student I don’t have any problems with them I think they are very nice neighbors and I don’t think the city should go after the owner on who they rent to student or even a family the city get there tax money and it not like city take care of it . I have been living next door to student for over 6 years and there has been no problems

This law is directly targeting UML students that have made Lowell their home. This is discouraging students from staying in Lowell and beginning their lives here. This is not the Lowell I grew up in and I will not stand for it. We are better than this!!!!

Students are at a big budget. Renting with other students is a big help for them to save money. Why is the city doing this?

I lived in apartments in Lowell with friends for three years while I finished school. During that time, we regularly frequented Lowell businesses that we would not have been able to if we had lived elsewhere and driven in to school, or if we'd been forced to live in on-campus housing which is by FAR more expensive and would have drained us of any extra funds to spend.

My grandson is working towards getting his Masters in Mechanical engineering and has 4.0 average. He has a right to share an apartment with his 2 friends.

This is completely unacceptable. My son is an adult living in Lowell with 2 friends and working towards a Masters degree.

UML can only house 40% of students. If you limit off campus housing, UML will be forced to make more property purchases (like Perkins). Then lowell will lose that tax revenue
