I am totally against this law. There is no reason for not allowing more than 2 students to live in same apartment.

This zoning ordinance does not have the student's best interest at heart. Student success is at the forefront of all initiatives. How will this change benefit students? It will only add to the fiscal burden students face when seeking a degree.

The city of Lowell does not have the infrastructure to sustain such a measure. Student residence halls are at full capacity, parking space is limited and the school continues to grow in size each year. This law will only lead to increased traffic congestion and severe negative economic impact. Both of which will not sit well with constituents. UMass Lowell and its students have pushed this school to the forefront of innovation and technology, bringing industry to the city through the university. This growth should be embraced and not hindered by restrictions that will drive some of the best students away.

These students need to be able to share areas together, they all put money into it to help with their expenses, please don't make it harder for them.
