I'm fine with the 4 close by grocery stores. We don't need another. Don't need more traffic. Like the "country" feel. That's why we moved to northern Durham. If people want a Publix near by then they need to move closer to where one is already located. Don't want another strip mall out this way.

This area has been a peace of mind, mind your own business area for many years. Leave that commercial mess elsewhere. Too much slip thur traffic as it is, and we certainly do not need any more. Since you all are looking for space, why not go to the old Walmart area in Braggtown . Put your bank, and houses there, since you all love being on top of everyone. We already have over enough places to eat, shop, etc.. and travel back home. A complete mess on the corner is what this would be.. Why not go to the prison area down Guess Road and tap into that land. Better still why not go across from the Ford Dealership on Roxboro Road. Perfect for those type of people who do not enjoy the deer, wildlife, and quiet times. **To The Durham Councilmen...If You Allow Them To Put That Mess Up... then We Really Do Not Deserve To See It. In other words.. not visible from any road (Latta or Guess) for that matter. Plus our personal property taxes should be paid for at least 12-15 years to offset our sadness, our lifestyle changes, and your poor decision making ideas.

Would like this land to stay zoned as residential please. There are several empty buildings already that someone could use.

As a long term resident of North Durham I am strongly opposed to this development. I chose to live in Northern Durham because I wanted a quiet place to raise my family free of the traffic, congestion and development as in other areas of the Triangle. As a Realtor, investor, landlord and homeowner I know the negatives far outweigh the positives. Keep this area of North Durham residential with the peace and tranquility we all moved here to enjoy!

Please leave the land zoned as residential property. Durham has enough unwise development already.

Home owners on north and south of Lata will not be able to make a left turn into Latta road.

Not needed, dangerous to the river and likely to spawn more of the same. If I wanted to live in Cary, I'd have done it by now...

I worry about the detrimental impact this development would have on the Eno River. Also, traffic on Latta Road is already difficult to contend with at peak times in the day.

There are already plenty of shopping areas within two miles of the proposed location, the Eno River would be negatively impacted as a result of this development, and traffic is already an issue on Latta Road.

North Durham does not need another strip mall or shopping center. This area should remain residential.
