I support adding new businesses in the area but would prefer to see revitalization of existing vacant buildings, lots, and centers.

I support development but not at this location. Rezoning this land will have a negative impact on this area including increased traffic and safety concerns for the children at the elementary school. Please uphold the UDO!

This area should not be rezoned for commercial use. there are plenty of empty or, abandoned lots in North Durham in which to build a supermarket, store fronts and restaurants. There is enough residential properties now going up in the area which already is creating havoc with traffic and store congestion.

We moved to the county 28 years ago for the peace and quiet and low traffic volume. Guess Rd. traffic has significantly increased. We just DON'T NEED anymore businesses in northern Durham. If citizens want conveniences closer by then the answer is to pack up and move closer to the conveniences you want.

This is why we have zoning and a development plan. No compelling reason provided by developers to build here - other than it is cheaper for them.

This is not the location for your development. How about out near Treyburn? Please think of our kids and this delicate environment first.

This type development does not belong next to an elementary school or in critical watershed, plus it will make a bad traffic situation even worse.

Please stay consistent with Planning Commission recommendations to NOT re-zone, and please stay consistent with the Comprehensive Development plan and maintain this area as low density residential. Long term, strip malls and chain developments will detract from property value vs. increase it.

Please uphold the decision of the planning commission and vote against the rezoning.

We do not need this development in North Durham!

There is plenty of underused property that is already zoned commercial. Please follow the recommendation of the planning commission and vote against rezoning.

The proposed rezoning is wholly inappropriate for that land in that location. I urge the city council to uphold the decision of the planning commission in rejecting this rezoning request.

This land is zoned for residential use, and there is no need to re-zone it when there is already commercial-zoned land available.

We don't need development on guess/Latta that is going to increase traffic, etc. There are other properties already zoned for this. Use them.
