Opposition to 4150 N. Ryan Road Creston Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Facility/Engrained LLC

Please don't destroy our Village.

We strongly oppose commercial cannabis operations in our area. Such operations are incompatible with traditional agricultural activities.

While I appreciate the value of the cannabis industry in California, it makes zero sense to put a commercial grow house in this rural area. It will be a visual eyesore and create a toxic environment that will negatively impact this community. Please find some other location that would be better suited for this business.

Please adhere to the to the requests of the neighbors and deny this and other similar projects.

We strongly oppose any cannabis operation, farm or facility of any kind in this area. We have seen first hand in Santa Barbara and the Carpinteria area how disastrous these facilities are to neighborhoods and those living nearby. The air quality has been ruined and has resulted in lawsuits from those whose asthma has been triggered to the point of them not being able to live there any longer. The farms attract criminal activity, traffic, noise, ongoing permeating noxious smells and replace beautiful, natural lands. It will hurt property values for miles. Please do not allow this in our area.

An operation that requires barb wire fencing, security cameras, and / 24 hr security personnel definitely does not fit the definition of traditional agricultural farming. In addition, the amount of vehicle traffic that is sure to ensue up and down Ryan Rd and North Ryan Rd (both of which are unpaved), is not conducive to the area. Long time established residents are here in Creston for a reason please help us keep it that way.

This type of operation will only bring an element to the Paso that is directly opposed to the quiet, rural, crime free living the residents have experienced up to this point. Property values will decline as well bringing less into the tax assessor revenue. Pat Evans, Coldwell Banker a homeowner in Lake Nacimiento as well as Ventura County.

Not good for the neighborhood

These huge commercial cannabis operations do not belong in our beautiful, rural lands where they negatively affect the peaceful, happy country life of the surrounding community.

This project as well as the other cannabis projects proposed for the CRESTON area should be denied. This is a small, rural community and this type of project does not fit . There is an elementary school and church and a couple restaurants that will be adversely impacted. Not to mention the people that have homes in this community. This is not a typical agricultural business and it is not right to subject all the residents and businesses to the negative effects of these businesses.

I am the co owner of Al Pie del Cielo farm on Rocky Canyon Road. We dry farm some and do deficit irrigation on other our crops. We are SIP certified. We cannot condone abuse of our neighbors nor our environment. We protest the proposed cannabis operation on Ryan Rd.

When are you going to do what’s right for the community instead of only thinking about the potential income. Everyone’s life gets ruined for one person. There are better places for these huge commercial cannabis businesses.

This community has previously come together to keep commercial cannabis out of the rural residential area. Do not allow a business to detract from our quality of life.

We do not want this project in our community! How many times do we have to tell you this?
