This part of Eastleigh is already a notorious bottle neck for traffic. Adding a drive-thru at this location will undoubtable exacerbate this

We should promote local community and local businesses, not chain stores paying poverty wages, dodging taxes and promoting unhealthy lifestyles.

Hi Miguel, many thanks for your comments and signing the petition. I will put a note on our Facebook page telling people that they can still submit a comment. Please like our Facebook page and you can keep up to date with what we are planning. It is terrible that the council have tried to decieve people by keeping this so quiet. If you can attend the our march planned for the 12th March at the site (details on our FB page) and the ELAC meeting on the 15th March that would be great. We are trying to drum up as much support as possible! Thanks, ELP.

KFC has some big issues on waste and animal welfare.

We do not need more fast food outlets here. The space was a cultural space in the form of the courthouse before, and it should be something useful for disadvantaged young people.

I say no to any food outlets on Leigh Road. Just think off the rubbish that it will generate and the extra traffic and pollution.

We don't need more fast food places in Eastleigh. We have many of these places just a few minutes from this location and obesity is a big enough problem in the district.

We moved from Chandlers Ford to a newly built house in Sirocco Park just opposite the leisure centre. We were attracted by, what seemed to us, promising plans by the council to revamp the area but now we are extremely disappointed and feel really let down!

Just called the Council, apparently the public meeting to consider this application will be on March 15th. A strong show of public representation might help here.. Eventhough the consultation process has ended. They still will consider comments, I am told, search for in the planning website for Planning Application Number: O/15/77116 Site Address: Former Civic Offices and Magistrates Court Leigh Road Eastleigh SO50 9SJ

First news on this through the letter-box by Eastleigh-Says 'NO,, not a single-word by the council! Besides all the issues highlighted, anti-social behaviour risk, traffic congestion etc. This is a bad use of this location by the council, this should be considered a premium location because its communications links which should be used to (easily) attract a private company/HQ-style (and quality jobs) to be based in Eastleigh instead. Any idea when this will be reviewed by the Council on a meeting?, the planning website indicates that consultation started in September and was closed on 17/02/2016!

We don't need easier access to rubbish food. This proposal will have a negative environmental and social impact on the community of Eastleigh. Traffic is already far too congested at this area and emergency services need it regularly lets Not make the improvements to the roads only to fill them with drive thru customers - drive thru - the clues are in the name!

We don't need another McDonald's. The restaurants in Eastleigh town centre and Swaythling are more than enough, not to mention Hedge End, Totton, Ower and another three in Southampton. No more McDonalds!
