Im not from this school but honestly,i feel like this is a little too much:(Some students need to have their own special diet that the school cant provide and the students should have freedom for what they want to eat.You should punish the students or reprimand them only if they are late for their after school activities. However, just for the reason that too many of them are going out of school to eat, does not mean that you should punish them or stop them from totally going out.If too many of them are starting to be late,it is kind of right to scold them. But you should let them do what they want if they are not affecting their activites at all.

You're too much. Really. Don't restrict sutdents' choice in food after school. If they want to leave, let them leave. But punish them accordingly if they are late. That's fair for everyone—faculty member or not. Is it fair if I restricted you to eat school food every school day—even after school hours? School food gets boring after a while, that is a fact. If teachers and school staff members can purchase and consume food from shops outside the school, students can do it too. Don't schools generally promote "equality"?
Don't give your students the "but we're adults" card. If you think they should be mature and adult-like; don't you dare treat them like children. Don't. That's rude.
This is from a completely different secondary school, by the way.
Please take this into consideration.

P.S have you ever considered that there may be some with special diets? If you did, are you able to cater to them? Are you further limiting their food selection? Is what you're doing now really going to give you a good name, or a name detestable and treated like some unidentified dirt from some random place?

I am very appalled at this new rule. Back when I was still a student, we had a lot of choices of where to eat whenever we had SSP or extra activities after normal curriculum time. From going to Nex shopping mall or opposite school, we had more places to eat. And it's not just the students who seem to enjoy eating at these places, but even some of our teachers seem to enjoy food from there. So I don't understand why such a rule was put up. It seemed alright back then, so why put it up now? As teenagers, we don't have much freedom of choice if this rule is being kept up. So please, for the sake of my juniors (and future students of Zhonghua), please take down this rule. We stand by the right to eat what we want.

I feel that the rule doesn't really make sense because it's like the sch is treating the pupils like they are still primary sch kids who can't take care and be responsible for themselves. Isn't the main difference of having secondary schs is to allow and give teenagers the opportunities to become to learn to become more responsible and mature to adults? If not, we might as well stay in primary sch forever because we are simply going to watched upon in sch and the main point simply to study .

the school does not have enough choices of food for the students to not get tired of the school food. furthermore, the school isnt even half as good as the outside food. the queues in sch are alrdy long enough but with this newly added ban, the queues wld be even longer and more time wld be taken up, hence later for ssp. this wld actually affect all the students, not just the ones eating outside. i think u didnt take that into consideration. pls note that this shldnt be taken lightly and the students shld also have their own rights. in addition, the school bookshop has very limited things compared to the popular in nex. what if we need to buy smth impt for sch on the same day? is that a valid reason. and birthday celebrations wld be a challenge.

I really think the principle should trust the students and allow them to go out as I am a student myself and eating the same school food on a daily basis will get me sick of it and going nearby to grab a bite wont do any harm. Going out with their school mates could strengthen their bond and would not have as much fights as if they did not interact.

Give us freedom, we are no longer in primary school right... We are now SECONDARY students... We can make decisions! maybe there are some reasons good for us not going out school to have lunch BUt, let students out also have good reasons! For example, 1) we forget to bring stuff for cca, we can go home and take it. 2) we might be eating wif our parents after school or meeting them ! 3) canteen queue might be long and had sold out, some student will just don't eat lunch and went for cca !! Well they can have lunch at nex or near school ! So please let us go out to eat after school !!

Okay firstly, we should we given free reign to go out for lunch as we might be meeting up with relatives for lunch at nearby places like Nex as they might live nearby. It is what I do when me and my grandmother make plans to meet each other for lunch before CCAs as we rarely get to see each other. It is taking away family and bonding time as during the weekends we have tons of homework to complete. Secondly, in this environment, students will feel oppressed as nobody even dares to speak up and it is very stressful for us. Please take this into serious consideration.
