Opposite for lunch

The worst way to solve this issue ever. How about increasing the time to 30 to 35?

Tbh , i find it abit ridiculous to ban students from going opposite school to eat. I understand that some parents complained, but, what i dont understand is , students have been going opposite to eat for the past few years ? why ban now ? and , if the safety of students is the reason , have there been students who got banged by cars or something ? perhaps the school can give some examples to try and persuade us ? adding on , there are times when the canteen has no seat to eat . we have to share tables with people , but due to the lack of space , we cant actually eat a proper meal . second , the variety in school is too little . wont you feel bored eating these food 10 times per week? we will. next , even if we were banned , some students will still be late. some of us who went opposite to eat , would try and rush back when we saw that we were about to be late for ssp. it is the responsibility of the students to be punctual , and not because of us going opposite to eat.. moreover , sometimes when students do not have ssp before cca , we wouldnt want to stay in school for 1.5 hours . why ? because it is rare that we would be free for such a long time , especially for the sec4s. lastly, i hope that the school would take into consideration the concerns of the students and not solely follow what the parents want.. thank you.

School lunch is not worth my money and it's not enough to make me full enough for activities

this is definitely not reasonable to me and as u can see, everyone else. we are alr all so stress and tired after a long 7hrs of sch day and our ownly free time, a break for us to rest and relax with our friends outside of sch, forgetting just a little bit of hectic sch life is now taken away frm us. can u think of our students point of view. we are in need of it.

Agreed, this rule basically makes the school dictatorial, with all due respect, if you refuses to let us go out and eat, so be it, but going out but not stepping in again makes the rule absurd. I know the school is corcerned about the safety of the students, and they have every right to do so, but do you really have to restrict and monitor our movement?

As others below have said, the rule is simply absurd. While on paper it looks like a plausible plan, it is very unrealistic for it to be implemented efficiently in a school with a canteen as tiny as Zhonghua's. Look: even during our individual cohort recesses, the queues are already so long. Who in the right mind would think that four cohorts (approx. 1200 students) can be able to eat their lunch within a timeframe of maximum 30 mins?! Most teachers release their students at 2.05-2.10, so that leaves us with not even enough time to queue. Even if we did manage to queue and get our lunch, by the time we've finished eating we would already be late for our SSPs. How is this any different from being late because we went out for lunch? Safety, safety, safety. I do not mean to jinx it, but over the near 20 years of Zhonghua operating at our current campus has ANYONE been involved in a traffic accident? Granted, we have students jaywalking - this can be solved with discipline, and it is this problem that should be countered and not avoided through simply banning all students from going out for lunch. We cross roads everyday, we are teenagers who are expected to be entering the first steps of independence in our lives, and we can't even be trusted to cross the roads without supervision? What a shame. It is not fair for us students to be barred from going out just because a few parents of new students are afraid that their child(ren) may go astray etc etc whatever. As parents it is their responsibility to take care and TEACH their own child between the right and wrong, not treat Zhonghua as a daycare. We need not be spoon-fed through this restrictive way. How is it that these few parents' words outweigh the opinions of over a thousand students? Do you really not trust your own students to take care of themselves? Just because some parents complain that their children keep going out to of zhonghua to eat, that doesn't give the right to ban all students to go out of school to eat

With all due respect ZHSS, most of us students want to enjoy school as much as the teachers, parents and society want us to. Don't you think the new rule is a bit way too overboard? Students' safety should definitely not be compromised especially when they're outside of school, but there is always time to educate them, right? Students learn in school that by educating people to do what is right and what is safe for them. Why make this an exception?Ignoring the masses over minorities, thinking that it is the best option by caging them. How would you feel if you were us students? Don't make a school enviornment that you, yourself don't want to be part of it. P.s vending machine foods are not that healthy or cheap either as compared to outside food.

this rule has crossed the line. just because SOME parents complained & you have to ban the WHOLE school? tell me that makes sense. the break is only 30mins and you expect so many cohorts to have their meal together but still not be late for ssp?? The queuing for food will already take up most of the time plus teachers releasing us late.. we'll still end up being late.

really? is crossing a road to go for lunch that dangerous? even If you ask canteen vendors to sell more food, there wont be enough space nor time to eat the food. Sec 1 to sec 5 students having lunch in the canteen from 2 to their ssp time is ridiculous. not enough time to even queue for food..
